Stipa gigantea

Stipa gigantea also known as Golden Oats, is a tall, ornamental grass with graceful, arching green foliage and striking feathery seed heads that sway beautifully in the wind. Growing to around 1.8m high and 1.2m wide, it is hardy and frost-tolerant (though typically becomes winter dormant with leaves turning straw coloured in colder regions), thriving in full sun and well-drained soil. Ideal for dramatic borders, specimen planting, and naturalistic or contemporary gardens.
